When the pulp becomes inflamed or infected, usually due to undiagnosed or untreated dental cavities, damage to an old filling, various dental traumas, an endodontic treatment is performed. It is a complex dental procedure in which the pulp (vascular-nerve bundle) is removed and the root canal system is cleaned.

Sometimes, depending on the tooth’s destruction, the patient is recommended to cover the treated tooth with a dental crown to enhance the tooth’s resistance.

Endodontic treatment can save a damaged tooth and prevent the need for its extraction, allowing the patient to keep their natural and healthy tooth.

Endodontic interventions are done under a microscope, with local anesthesia, isolation with a rubber dam, mechanical preparation with rotary needles, and 3D canal system obturation. After the treatment is completed, there might be slight sensitivity at the tooth level, which disappears with the medication recommended by our specialists.
